related
"Related" is a very common English word with two main senses: one about connection between things or ideas, and one about family ties. You'll encounter it constantly in everyday conversation, reading, and writing.
When two people are related, they belong to the same family — by blood or sometimes by marriage. You can be closely related (like a brother or sister) or distantly related (like a third cousin you barely know).
