Privacy Policy

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how C2 MEDIA & TECH LAB LTDA (CNPJ 43.343.467/0001-47, with registered office at R. Frei Caneca, 461, Apt 84, Consolação, São Paulo/SP, CEP 01.307-001), the company behind FluencyCraft, collects and uses your personal information. We believe in collecting as little as possible and being clear about what we do with it.

Information We Collect

  • Account data: email address, name, country, and password (hashed). If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and basic profile from Google.
  • Usage data: vocabulary lists you create, practice sessions, mastery scores, and similar product signals needed to make the app work.
  • Payment data: subscription status and billing metadata from Paddle. Card numbers never touch our servers — Paddle handles them directly.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, and timestamps for security and troubleshooting.

How We Use Information

  • To operate FluencyCraft and keep your progress synced.
  • To process subscriptions and prevent fraud.
  • To send essential account emails (verification, billing receipts, password resets) and — if you opt in — learning reminders.
  • To improve the product by analyzing aggregated usage patterns.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

Third-Party Services

FluencyCraft relies on a small number of trusted providers, each with their own privacy practices:

  • Paddle — payment processing and subscription billing (Merchant of Record).
  • AI provider — generates word definitions and hints from the words you look up. We only send the word itself, not your account information.
  • Speech processor — scores your pronunciation on paid plans, processing short audio samples that you record.
  • Authentication provider — session management and, optionally, "Sign in with Google".
  • Google Ads — delivers the advertising shown on Free and Pro plans. Google sets its own cookies to serve, measure, and occasionally personalize ads, subject to Google's own policies. The Max plan removes ads entirely and does not load Google Ads. We do not use any other ad network.

Data Retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain records for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights under laws such as the LGPD (Brazil) and GDPR (European Union), including:

  • Access to the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction of inaccurate information.
  • Deletion of your account and data.
  • Portability — a copy of your data in a common format.
  • Objection to, or restriction of, certain processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@fluencycraft.com. We'll respond within the timelines required by applicable law.

Cookies

We use a small set of cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. For details, see our Cookie Policy.

Children's Privacy

FluencyCraft is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us so we can delete it.

International Transfers

FluencyCraft and its service providers may process your data outside your country of residence. When we transfer data internationally, we use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses to protect it.

Changes

We may update this Policy as the product and applicable laws evolve. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app before taking effect.
